Yoga&Meditation Workshops
The Yoga & Meditation Workshops teach yoga and meditation practices in three levels. New students will begin at an introductory level, learning yoga basics that focus on body awareness, increasing flexibility, strength, and endurance. Level two will instill yoga and meditation as tools for self awareness and introduce students to the four paths of yoga. Level three takes the cushion off the mat and offers ways to integrate yoga practices into daily life.
Restore & Relax Yoga- This gentle yoga approach uses restorative postures and teaches self massage techniques for joints and muscles. This is a basic approach designed for all levels of experience and abilities.
Gentle Yoga & Stretching with Kathy Worthen- Designed with new students in mind. We will gently ease into yoga postures giving the body an opportuity to relax, and learn new movements. Warm-ups, stretches, simple postures, breathing techniques and deep relaxation will be included. You will be encouraged to be gentle without striving to perform
Sadhana Yoga Basics- This workshop will build a foundation toward mind-body awareness. Sadhana Yoga Basics will help each student understand the basic relationship between breath and movement with safe sequencing and modification for individual needs. This practice connects breath with a series of postures that will strengthen, increase flexibility and build endurance with focus on anatomy and alignment. Students new to yoga or those revisiting will benefit from these classes.
Sadhana Yoga - This workshop enables intermediate practitioners to refine and broaden their understanding of yoga. Sadhana Yoga focuses on yoga as a spiritual tool. Sadhana Practice - This is an advanced practice for students who wish to remove the cushion and incorporate yoga practices into their daily lives. Studio space is available for students to explore their own practice and work either independently or in collaboration. Sadhana Practice is an open studio practice with a guide/instructor present and available for suggestions. (pre-requisites; Sadhana Yoga or with the consent of an instructor). Sadhana Practice is offered by donation.
