About

I first discovered my passion for movement from my training in dance that began at age eight when I was enrolled at the Carlene Nazarian Dance Center in Salem, NH.

To further the pursuit of this personal inquiry explored through movement I enrolled in Modern classes at Keene State College, where initially I was signed up as a Business Management undergraduate. About mid-way through I decided to switch majors to devote more time to develop my skills as a performance artist and dance educator. As a theatre and dance undergraduate I was privileged to study under Marcia Murdock, Cathy Nicoli, Candice Salyers, and William Seigh and was selected to work with guest artists such as  Paul Besaw, Mark Dendy, Pilobolus, and Sara Sweetly Rabidoux. I graduated with my Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre and Dance in 2009.

I was introduced to yoga as an undergraduate at Keene State College, where I mentored under guidance counselor and yoga instructor Emily Noyes. I received further training for yoga under Brian Russell and Josephine Russell and my 200 hr teaching certification from the SchoolYoga Institute founded by Vedantin Ping Luo.

I moved to Rhode Island from my native land of New Hampshire in March of 2011. Due to the forces at play and a very philanthropic family, I became Founder and Artistic Director of The Heron Studio, where I offer classes and workshops in the healing and performing arts (yoga & dance, more to come). I also function as a free-lance performance artist & dance educator.  Currently I work with Lorraine Chapman, the Company, and am on roster for ACT at Saint Andrew’s School and teach advanced modern at 95 Empire in providence RI.
